There is one funeral director that treated us with great empathy, kindness and respect, there was another one that was so rude, condescending, and unprofessional that we immediately had my mother's body moved to a different funeral home. I am hoping that funeral director was just having an off day and that behavior was not a true reflection of his heart. I would encourage anyone who uses this funeral home to have the courage to move somewhere else if you also are treated poorly. I hope this will not be the case for any future families. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the care we received from the other funeral director was appropriate and appreciated.

My wife and I have used Meredith Waddell funeral home for my father and my mother inlaw. The day of both funerals we had snow on the ground but they made sure we could go ahead and honor our parents and get them to the burial sites. Jeff, J.C., Anna the whole staff are very professional, compassionate and caring. 5 star service.

Telling everyone in So IL to never use this place of business!! Because they have zero empathy! JC is the most belligerent, rude excuse for a funeral director I’ve ever spoken with and I’m sorry my father is in their hands. He’s interested he n nothing but passing the buck. I called Friday to have my fathers incorrect obituary corrected and spoke with Anna. She never told me who she was but assured me it would be done. When I read it the next day, it is as still wrong so I called back and got Mr, Sunshine. When I told him who I was and why I was calling he said he knew who I was and proceeded to ream me out. He told me they have nothing to do with writing the obituary and Anna is a funeral director and not an assistant. I asked to speak to an assistant and he said they don’t have one that that is my problem. I asked if this is how they treat all bereaved families and hung up. If I could make the choice, I’d NEVER choose this horrible place again!!!
