Meadows Funeral Home was recommended to me by a family friend after an unexpected death in the family. The family is currently on the West Coast and the memorial would be in the Chicago suburbs. Melissa Nelson was patient and compassionate as I called for information regarding a death half way across the country. She provided details on what Meadows could provide and also offered alternative solutions for us which wouldn’t even result in revenue for her. To me, this is a sign of a true professional looking out for the best interests of the client. She also made any expenses that might be incurred very clear as she understands that many times families aren’t prepared for the expense. Ultimately, due to size constraints, we were unable to use Meadows, but I absolutely recommend Meadows Funeral Home and Melissa.

Everyone here is wonderful. Bill sat with my family and I twice and went over our options. He was not pushy with services offered, didn’t impose any sense of urgency for decision making, and fielded all of our questions patiently. Melissa, was very steadfast and polite with emails. The rest of the staff were just an ear shot away if needed anything and made sure the immediate had plenty of time to grieve. We had a couple of unique requests and they accommodated us without hesitation. Big thank you to MFH.
