We recently dealt with Whitaker Funeral Home with the death of my uncle. He passed away 3 hours away from Newberry and the Funeral was being held in Columbia. Even still, they made everything so easy and kept us informed during the entire process as to what was taking place, including the cremation. As far as planning the service, it couldn't have been easier. No detail was too big or small, and nothing overlooked. Even down to the obituary posting having a personalized "background" online, that we didn't even ask about, but was perfect for my uncle. They even let us know of programs related to his death that we would have not known about otherwise. I cannot recommend Whitaker Funeral Home enough.

I was very impressed with the way Whitaker Funeral home handled my grandmothers funeral. Justin went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and anything requested was handled. He also officiated the service and if I did not know, I would think that he knew my grandmother personally. All the staff went out of their way to make sure we were at peace with the final resting of our grandmother. I would not consider any other in the area outside of Whitaker.

The staff at Whitaker were the nicest people have ever delt with, their compassion and care was heart felt. They attended to every detail. They really helped me and my family through the difficult time of losing our loved one. I strongly recommend them to anyone in need, Pete Mclain
