Pre-planning a funeral will benefit not only you, but also your family and loved ones. No matter the type of service, we are committed to making the funeral prearrangement process as easy as possible. We will help plan a service that allows your family to say a meaningful goodbye while celebrating a life well lived. Ensure your wishes are carried out. Although you may not have thought about preplanning your funeral service, you’ve likely given some thought to what you would like the service to look like. Preplanning a funeral service means you get to make sure that your life is honored the way you want. When you create a preneed funeral plan, you are able to leave your family and the funeral home with detailed instructions for how to care for your remains and what the service should entail. If you want to make sure that your funeral arrangements are carried out exactly how you want, preplanning a funeral is the only way to ensure this. Remove the burden from your family. When a family has just experienced a loss, they are often overwhelmed with grief. The added stress of trying to arrange a funeral service in the days following a death can add to the stress of the situation and make it that much more difficult for your family. By taking control of final wishes, you can relieve your family of this burden. That means that instead of stressing over the arrangement process, your loved ones can spend time comforting one another and preparing to say goodbye. When someone dies without a preneed funeral plan, it is common for the family to disagree about how to honor their loved one. Everyone grieves in their own way which can cause a family to argue about “what mom or dad would’ve wanted”. Something as simple as deciding between cremation and burial is one dispute you can avoid by preplanning a funeral. More payment options. When you preplan a funeral service, there are many different options to consider in regards to payment. If you choose to pay for the service in advance, that money can be placed into a trust which can earn interest over time. This means when it comes time for the funeral service, there could be more money available for your family to add something meaningful to service. Another option for paying for a prearranged funeral is taking out an insurance policy. If you qualify, the policy will be used to cover any of the funeral expenses or estate taxes. Lastly, a final option to consider is paying over time. Rather than making one large payment like most families in immediate need must do, you can make incremental payments to cover the costs. This means you do not have to pay for everything at once and can instead add these payments into your monthly budget. Avoid inflation and rising prices. Like most products and services, inflation happens overtime causing the cost of the product or service to rise. The funeral industry is no exception to this and one of the fastest rising expenses in the United States. When you prepay for a funeral service, you are completing a contract that locks the price in. This means that regardless of the inflation rate, your family will not be charged more for your service when the time comes. With preplanning, you can get help and input from your family. One of the most underappreciated benefits of preplanning a funeral service means you can talk it over with your family. Rather than simply planning a service or leaving your family to make these decisions, you can hear their input and create a service together. For many families, this means you will plan a more meaningful service that includes the things your surviving family members will need to cope with the grief that accompanies the loss of a loved one. Preplanning is done in a relaxed state of mind. When a family is in immediate need, they often rush to make decisions quickly. This can often lead to regret and wishing that they had done something different. Preplanning a funeral does not require the same pressure to make arrangements quickly. Instead, you and your family can take your time and look at the different options available in regards to planning the service or reception afterwards. We’re here to help, if you have any questions about preplaning or want to begin the arrangement process, we would be honored to assist you. Thank you again, Marshall, Rene and family We will still continue to follow the guidelines from State and Federal Public Officials and remain committed, prepared and available 24/7 to safely care for the families we serve during this time and we will continue to enable families to participate in the type of funeral that is most important to them.

Kind, compassionate, professional, Marshall came highly recommended by another funeral director in the area. I valued this recommendation since is was based on his performance over the years, with many families. Marshall responded to all of my calls in over two years with expertise and respect, starting with preplanning through to the funeral, He helped me plan every step of the way based on the recommendations of our elder care attorney. When my brother passed away unexpectedly, Marshall responded at 5:00 A.M. The true proof of Mr. Marra's dedication and compassion was his willingness to work with pathologists from the Harvard Brain Center to donate our loved one's brain to research. This process was time sensitive, meaning that Marshall had to meet the pathologists at 1:00 A.M. for the procedure at a surgical facility. He was always positive and eager to do anything to help us. Because of his expertise, reverence, and empathy, I highly recommend Marshall and the Marra Funeral Home. Franny

Marshall made the whole experience of dealing with my father’s service simple but 100% professional from start to finish. He went out to my mother’s on 3 different occasions. The entire staff was professional and polite. Words cannot express our family’s gratitude for all of his efforts to make sure we had EVERYTHING we needed at all times. Thank you from our entire family!!

These are the nicest people in the world... I got in a car crash and my Dog was ejected from the vehicle she ran away from the adrenaline... they stopped and let me get into their vehicle and took me to go and pick her up all in the spur of the moment... they helped me get her and into their (what appeared to be) a brand new truck that was extremely clean. She bled all over their seats they didn’t get mad or upset about it they were the most beautiful caring people I’ve ever met in my entire life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want GENUINELY caring and honest, good people that - even when it doesn’t benefit them whatsoever they CARE... please choose them, don’t question their motives I know firsthand they are beautiful people with so so much compassion I will NEVER be able to repay them. Thank you sincerely from Sara and Sady ... I would have lost my dog had you not been such good people God Bless you all I’m so grateful you were there right when you were cause dogs run from accidents and are usually never found/recovered. My dog is okay thanks to you all I will never be able to thank you enough or repay you. I should add my dog Sady is usually scared of humans, and she trusted them as well.. I was so surprised she knew they were good as well. Thank you all so so so much I will add you to my prayers you are all amazing God put you there yesterday thank you from the bottom of my heart.
