If you live in Danvers or the surrounding north shore area, the Lyons and Sons family is a well known business. But if you’re not from the area or out of state, please know that the reviews posted here and mine are completely honest. Our family often says, Love is in the details. CR Lyons and his staff are incredible. When I called him about my Uncle Jack’s passing, I felt as if I was talking to an old friend. I live in California and the thoughts of coordinating an out of state funeral was overwhelming. He immediately helped plan, address, coordinate, and manage details you don’t even know you need. He is so thoughtful and caring, but more importantly, supportive, and understanding as if he has been a member of your family. My uncle’s funeral was beautiful. CR and his staff made sure we were not worried about anything. His staff just took care of everybody. The snow on 3/4/23 was quite intense at times, it didn’t matter to the staff. They held our hands so we could get in and out of the car safely, they held umbrellas to keep the slush away, he had our readings ready. It is inevitable that loved ones will pass. It’s such a stressful, challenging and mind boggling process. But not for CR and the Lyons Funeral Home staff. Your event will be handled and the your loved ones details are just taken care of. It’s such a relief when you have so many things to think about. Think no further if you need your loved ones services planned. CR and the team, please know we are grateful for everything you did for Uncle Jack. We are touched by your genuine concern. The love for what you do for your families shows in the details. I had the touching experience of attending your recent Christmas Memorial Service and want to commend everyone for the amazing experience! It was done with dignity, sensitivity and such love for all who attended! You left nothing out, and greatly gave the grieving attendees everything we needed and beyond! The beautiful words spoken by the MC, the music chosen and sung by Jody and Anne, the lighting of the candles, the refreshments and the gift to each of the symbolic and stunning , AMARYLLIS, provided HOPE and measured joy to each person present there! Thank you seems insufficient to express gratitude to those who did so much for all who attended the event, but words never do suffice to express such deeply felt emotion! I have been to many funeral services at C.R Lyons and Sons that when my dad passed away in May, we didn’t think twice about having C.R take care of our arrangements. CR and Amanda went above and beyond for our family. They made our visitors feel safe during this time of grief and a pandemic. They are always extremely professional and sympathetic and honored some last minute decisions or changes.
