They were compassionate, kind and professional as we set up my mom’s funeral long distance. It was very easy and they explained everything along the way.

My parents, many years ago, had started making plans with Berrys about their funeral. They had everything paid for, except for a few items. They walked us through everything my parents planned, was patient with us after changing our minds several times on things we wanted, and clearly explained what all we needed to do. The facilities were so nice and relaxing, that we decided to have everything in one place instead of the viewing/service at our church then having everyone drive almost 30 minutes for graveside. The reception afterwards was absolutely peaceful. They brought in all the flower arrangements, tables were set up beautifully, and the catered menu was delicious. It gave our family time to just be together. Caring calls were made afterwards. Kate and Priscilla were fantastic to work with. We wouldn't have changed a thing.

This review is for Mike who was the Funeral Director I spoke to the day of my maternal grandmother's viewing. I was 10 minutes away and called to ask if I could stop in for just a moment before everyone else started to arrive. I wanted just 5 minutes with her but he said, "To be honest with ya, I'm about to head to lunch so I might not be here. If it's ok, I'd rather wait for everyone." He also yawned while I was talking. Mike might want to retire or find a job that tolerates lack of empathy and unprofessionalism. It's extremely sad to me that throughout all my years of grief and loss, I've rarely encountered anyone in this industry who has genuine compassion for the deceased or their families.
