I went to Leak Memory Chapel to pre-arrange my cremation. I was met at the front desk with a ready smile and the sweetest Lady!! She introduced me to Clark Adams. He is a very compassionate and warm professional man. He walked me through everything and made my experience easier. I will recommend him to everyone that needs this service. No sane person looks forward to the death of their parents, especially a momma's boy like me. Dad has been gone for quite a while and momma was a healthy eighty seven years old. By the time they figured out that her back pain (misdiagnosed as a urinary tract infection) was a cancer mass on her pancreas, it was stage four. They gave her just two months to live. She refused chemo and readied herself (and her estate) for what was to come. We had already called in Hospice by the time the pain was getting severe so she spent her last few days in a narcotic slumber. I dreaded what I had to do. My sole sibling, an older sister, had died two years ago, so I was the sole remaining child - it was up to me. As per my request, Hospice called Leak Memory after her death (in her own home) as we had used them when my father passed away. I expected the stereotypical undertaker type personality-less fellow to meet with and make the arrangements but instead I was greeted by Greg and an assistant, Savannah. Both had a good human element to them. They seemed to really care about us and what we were going through. Honestly, I was still in shock when we met with them and I suspect they knew it. They broke everything down for us, gave us options and once we decided on a particular course of action ,explained how it was going to work. I felt at ease around them. They gave us options - so many options! Yet they were not pushy at all. They offered opinion, but at all times I knew they wanted ME to choose my options. They were very professional in every way with a good sense of humanity woven inside. I actually enjoyed interacting with Savannah at the facility as she is a fascinating girl with a passion for her job. Look, the bottom line is this - NO ONE wants to have to make the arrangements for a deceased loved one. These people take the burden off you and allow you the time and space to properly grieve while they do what has to be done .. At least that is what they did for me and I will be eternally grateful...
