Honestly, if you can find another funeral home. Do it. I wish I could give ZERO stars if I could. We experienced a passing of a loved one, and the responses we received to ANY inquires were rude and absolutely disrespectful. Even asking something simple as ‘Can we deliver the flowers on Saturday for a Sunday funeral’ came with answer of ‘Well if the flowers die, it’s NOT our problem.’ Absolute insanity. Would NOT recommend.

Two months ago I had to arrange my father’s funeral service & I am incredibly grateful to Leahy McDonald Funeral Home. From the moment we walked in, their staff exhibited utmost professionalism and compassion. They guided us through every step of the process, ensuring that all our wishes were met with care and attention to detail. The facilities were impeccably maintained, providing a serene and comforting atmosphere for our family and friends to gather and pay their respects. The entire team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, making a difficult time a little easier to bear. I cannot recommend them highly enough for their excellent service during such a challenging period.

Our beloved family member was entrusted to this funeral home. Many people traveled far and wide to honor one of the most senior family members of the Robert Family. The funeral on Friday, April 12th, 2024, was from 8:30 to 10:30am. At approximately 10:23, the family started to depart to meet the casket at the crematory, and the employee from the parlor started closing doors and directing people to the back door (no big deal). However, a few family members started signing the book before leaving. The employee again told a young female family member to exit through the other door, and she replied that she was going to sign the book. He stated very rudely, "you had all this time to sign the book, and you waited until the end to sign. We have another service and now we are waiting for you." I was standing next to her and replied to him, "Sir, you can be a little kinder, our family just passed." I don't recall what he said as I was still surprised, and I replied again, “you can say it much nicer.” I waited until she signed, turned to him, then said, " Thank you for your patience." I got to my car, looked at my watch and it was only 10:25am. Our time was until 10:30 and a wave of disappointment ushered in, thinking about all the people that come here in their worst of moments, to be disrespected by someone that worked in the wrong business. This job requires patience, respect, and kindness. Rather than upset my already grieving family, I hope this review will result in the business coaching their team and learning to treat people with value and respect in a much-needed time of grief and sorrow.
