LC May has been with our family for some of the toughest times. We have a long-standing history in our family, using them to bury our father, grandmother’s, aunts and now mother. We were very pleased with the service and professionalism and handling our mothers, recent death. We appreciate everyone that we worked with. Thank you for all the care provided to our mother.

The funeral home accepted 100% of the funeral cost in cash from a family member and said everything was set for the funeral services for a certain date. The service arrangements were printed in the local newspaper the next day. The family member heard later that everything had been changed but not from the funeral home. May's funeral home had changed the date of the funeral arrangement date without notifying the person who paid for the funeral. May's was unethical, unscrupulous and breached the contract. May's funeral home were taking orders from someone else and didn't have the decency to contact the person who paid them. Of course my family member asked for the money back but part of it was already spent. The bulk of the money was returned and the funeral was cancelled, pending, as the Mays internet site states. My family member has not been able to bury their loved one because the other individuals have not been able to pay. What kind of business people are these, they had been paid in full, all they had to do was go forward with the funeral. I rated them a one because 0 wasn't a choice.
