very unimpressed with this mans proffesionalism and inability to keep his temper under control. My friend used his services to cremate her passed on father. This man yelled at her over the phone about a fundraiser that had nothing to do with him nor did it mention his funeral home in any way. He yelled at her so much she took down the fundraiser so as to keep the peace to hopefully get her father back. Then he again yelled at her when someone was appalled at the price he quoted for the cremation itself. I am worried this man is asking too much for funeral services. He quoted her $1000 for a basic no frills memorial flyer. I ended up making this for her for much much cheaper. After i heard about how this man screamed at her over the phone i could not, not leave a review. I caution you when using this man for services.

At my FIL’s funeral this week I witnessed Jim Ladbury get in my adult daughter’s face and repeatedly say to her “I GOT THIS, DON’T EVEN START WITH ME, I GOT THIS” all while turning red and sweating profusely when my daughter was trying to ask about the PROPER order in which a military flag should be presented to a family member (it’s not to the “shack mate” by the way, Jim. So NO you don’t “got this”) Jim was also extremely rude and unprofessional to my SIL (daughter of deceased) who called asking for information about her DAD’S funeral as they were trying to quickly arrange travel plans to attend all parts of the services being planned. His unprofessional tone and response continued at the Veteran’s cemetery in how he spoke to my husband (son of the deceased) when he asked a question about updating information for the headstone. At a time of extreme sadness for family he is heartless and UNPROFESSIONAL! Overall I was blown away by Jim’s horrible attitude and the way in which he deals with family! I will never recommend Ladbury funeral home!! This man may want to reconsider his line of profession given his personality!

I had as near of a perfect experience with Ladbury as a person could. My Dad sadly passed Oct 3, and Jim was amazing from the start, even with me initiating our first conversation with “I have issues with the funeral industry for taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable times”. I can honestly say he is not that. He was patient with me, helped me talk through things many times, reassured me, and accommodated our unique service and crowd. It was a perfect celebration of my Dad’s life. We got to set up his displays however we wanted, bringing in huge pictures, boxes of oil field memorabilia and items with of Dad’s favorite things. They did an excellent job with presenting my Father, and it was so nice to be able to have that visual part of the process, where we could physically see his body, but then after the funeral, we opted for cremation. It was a blessing to have both options. I appreciate Jim and have nothing but good things to say about him and his team.
