From start to finish, Stephen Kemp Jr was professional, sympathetic, and respectful with helping us plan my father home going ,he went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of for my loved ones; if you are looking for a funeral home that cares, has compassion and loves what they do kept funeral home is a place to trust with your loved ones Lastly, they did an absolutely fantastic job on my father looked just as handsome as ever, even though he was almost 90lb. Hands down chose Kemp you won’t regret it, you can trust them with getting through your most tough time. FYI they also did my grandma during Covid same experience very professional my grandma funeral was paid in advance so the contract was honored. My grandma funeral and burial was all wrapped up within a 12days . She was so beautiful. Kemp is our family's chosen Funeral Home. I recommend Kemp funeral home if you are looking for someone that truly cares and will make sure everything is done the way you want and your loved one is looking their very best.

My experience with Jr. Kemp wasn’t what I expected it to be for my mother’s funeral. I had to call the cemetery myself which I didn’t expect cause Jr. says that’s another business. When I tried to tell him that it wasn’t, and that he should to do it I felt he rushed me. I had to make a couple of calls myself which Woodlawn said Kemp Funeral Home were supposed to call them not me! (Kudos to Woodlawn for their empathy). Also; Kemp didn’t transfer flowers to the church because they only transfer plants. Flowers there in time to be transported but wasn’t we were able to track them down days after the funeral ( 200.00$ flowers) they were at still at Kemp's dried out. We had to pick them up and tossed them. I was so over when about everything that week and felt like I was a doing job I paid Kemp to do. Kay put her skills on my mom she was beautiful. Thank you Kemp Funeral Home for your service for Kay or Kate. *update 2/26/24: I had a conversation with Kemp Jr and listen to his explanation about my concerns and he apologized to me. I was so overwhelmed with the passing of my mom and wrote about what I felt went left, and I didn’t mention what went right. Kemp Jr. did everything he could do to have my mom service in that week on a Saturday. They were booked and short staffed but Kemp Jr. made it happen, he stood on business, and his staff stood beside him. He explained that when flowers are delivered it’s a sign that said where it should be delivered too. Thank you S. Kemp Jr and I apologize for my impulsive behavior you did good. Kemp Funeral Home has some of the most compassionate and caring staff that I've ever encountered. There was not one person my family came across during the unfortunate passing of our loved ones that did not possess a sense of care and empathy. They made what feels like a the most daunting experience one can endure, feel just a little less painful with the compassionate servitude that they all possess.
