This Funeral Home genuinely cares for its clients. Director Jeff Maist guided us through a very difficult time for our family and we are grateful for his kindness. One of the things I had dreaded most was the casket selection - I had heard that part of the process could be sales-oriented and pushy - but Slaters (and particularly Jeff) was extremely professional, gave the family space and time to make the decision, never pushed us toward more expensive options, and when we narrowed it down to two options, Jeff offered his perspective when we asked for it. The Slater team also got two large auto funeral processionals organized and deployed without a hitch - it was so well choreographed. Finally, I was amazed at how every little detail received attention. From the visitation to the funeral to the burial. We HIGHLY recommend this group. They will help you navigate through one of the most difficult moments of your life.

Never did I anticipate writing a review for a funeral home that so empathetically helped my family lay my 3 year old niece/goddaughter to rest. I don’t have the words to explain what Luke Slater and his family and all the staff at John F Slater Funeral Home mean to our family. Saying goodbye to our sweet Bella was by far the hardest, most emotionally draining thing we have ever done. But Luke made the planning process easy, he communicated logistics to ensure everything was perfect for our girl, and most importantly he felt like family through the whole process. John F Slater Funeral Home is a complete Model for the industry. My mother and I made arrangements for my father’s death. They take care of everything for you with class, dignity and lots of respect! Jeffrey Maist, director for us, was very kind and compassionate with my mother, as if it was his parents. He was always around to ensure everything went smooth.
