This funeral home is very unprofessional and the people working for them are very disrespectful. My cousins had to lay their father to rest and had to deal with problems they should not have been dealing with. Mr. Woods was very rude and disrespectful to our entire family. He announced in front of everyone that everyone had to leave before we laid him to rest. Never in my life have I heard this. They never even spoke to them about this. We understand polices, but don’t announce it in front of everyone, especially a grieving family. Mr. woods could have privately spoke to his kids or wife about this but did not. Everything was rushed and my uncle deserved better. They also mistreated my grandmother while she was mourning the loss of her son, her only son. The lady in the front didn’t care she was too busy watching videos on her phone and laughing while these families here are mourning. I highly DO NOT recommend any family going with J. E Keever. No family should have to go through this.

In the statement below from their website I would like to know where the dignity and respect was that should have been given to my Nieces and Nephew yesterday. "At J.E. Keever Mortuary, our goal is to provide the highest level of service with dignity and respect to every family we are privileged to serve." I would not have believed this had I not been there for the funeral. These kids in their early to mid 20's lost their father unexpectedly. They spent the week raising the money for his funeral. When we arrived at cemetery I thought it strange that the vault was sitting there and the grave had not been opened. After the service the casket was placed in a vehicle and the funeral director began pressuring the kids to drive to the main funeral home and pay the bill for the service so they could continue with the burial. Rather than going to the dinner the church had prepared we drove to the funeral home where there was only a "night receptionist". She was unable to locate a $1300 check that the church had brought them the day before. When I offered to give her my credit card to charge it to until they found check she said she wasn't authorized to do credit cards. Upon calling the church pastor she finally thought to look back in a receipt book and found the check. When finally verifying that they had all of the money and the bill was paid, their father was laid to rest. The viewing didn't start until noon and the funeral was at 2:00. I can't understand why the kids weren't asked about the money before the service so this could be done then? Instead they were made to feel rushed, disrespected, embarrassed, and all of this added to the stress and emotions that come with losing their father. I hope no other family has to be treated this way when they lose someone so young who has no life insurance policy. Clearly they are more interested in their payday than "dignity and respect". I don't even want to give them one star.

This place is despicable, all about the money. My mother's family grew up with the Keever' s and has owned a family plot since 1942! In 2007 David made a promise to my 77 yr old mother on a cremation price when she lost her son. Today, I was told to speak to Paul. He not only was gruff and rude, he stated certainly David did not make any agreement with my mother! Come to find out, Paul wasn't with Keever in 2007. I suggest using Alpine Funeral Home services. They are professional, kind and courteous and exemplary in helping you. Plus saved my mom $700, over the inflated quote from Paul. I also researched cremation prices. There has truly not been an increase in cost, simply greed by Keever. They do not even deserve 1 star. It was mandatory to leave review.
