I would not use this funeral home. We recently had my father's funeral and J E Herndon was responsible for his remains. To start, my dad, after they finished was drastically darker than normal. There was a stench coming from the casket. They placed some type of cloth over the casket, which prevented family from getting a last feel for him. If you ask me the cloth was to keep family and friends distant so that the flaws couldn't be pointed out. For his wake they had two bodies in the same room, so two separate families were all in one room. Staff weren't very nice and did not do things in order. I along with my brothers and sisters were made to sit on the side pew at his funeral while his wife and her children were front center. Overall they provided horrible services and I would definitely not recommend them to anyone.
