It feels odd to review a funeral home, but I feel obligated to share my experience. Hoff handled my partner’s cremation and a few other things. From the beginning I felt like there was no communication. Whenever I needed something, I had to call and chase someone down. After you lost a loved one, you were more than lost yourself. You would think the funeral home would stay on top of things, but that was not the case. And a few other issues: I confirmed the design for the memorial card to be printed. A week later, 2 days before the memorial service, the cards were not even printed yet. I had to call their 800 number, and waited for someone to call me back, then waited for the cards to be printed. When I ordered the urn, I was asked if I wanted the lid to be glued shut. I said yes. When I received the urn, the lid was loose. Also I ordered 12 death certificates, but I only received 10. No explanation given. For those who think their service is 5 stars, good for you. The reasons why I received not so good service might be: we didn’t spend thousands of dollars, or because I’m Asian, or other discrimination. I hope I never have to deal with them again, and I can not recommend anyone else to use their services either.

Maddie made this difficult task a seamless one. She was patient, caring & listened to all thoughts & concerns. We had a beautiful celebration of my sister’s life. I live 6 hours away so Maddie did all the leg work & went above & beyond what her specific job duties required. We appreciate all that Maddie & Hoff Funeral Homes did for us & for my sister.

Recently my mother passed. I was fortunate in some respects that my mother had prearranged her funeral details with Hoff Funeral Home. With that being said Hoff was very caring and supportive helping to guide my family in finalizing all of the last minute details that can only be done after the loved one has passed. Hoff made that very easy and my family will be forever grateful.
