The sudden death of my sister was devastating, and trying to navigate managing her estate and not having a clue was daunting. Robert made it that much easier. His graciousness, kindness, expertise, and professionalism was like a balm to my broken spirit, gently guiding me through the process. You took excellent care of me and my sister and I will forever be grateful. Everyone at Hill and Wood couldn't be nicer. Maryann never tired of answering my incessant questions and phone calls. We don't live in VA or else I would make my final arrangements with these awesome people. I highly recommend using their services if you find yourself in that heartbreaking position.

Hill & Wood staff were exceptionally sensitive, conscientious, and professional. Planning the funeral for my father was a difficult and emotionally painful process, but the staff here guided our family through it with kindness and ease. They were extremely respectful of our family's wishes, coordinated seamlessly with the rabbi, followed through on the details we asked for (including playing my dad's favorite music as guests arrived), and took care of all tech needs so that family members from out of state could participate in the service remotely. I thought it would be stressful to plan the funeral, but Hill & Wood staff took care of so much that our family really had space to grieve. I thought I would have a negative association with a funeral home after my father's passing, but every time I drive past Hill & Wood I feel only gratitude for the good people there.

Hill & Wood Funeral Home did an inexpressibly stellar job helping my family through the most difficult week of our lives when Mom passed. The level of professionalism is top of the charts, and the level of compassion is beyond measure. Hill and Wood Funeral Home truly puts the value of "home" into their work because that's how they treat you, like a member of their own family in dire need. Krystal is an honorably wonderful funeral director and a true credit to this funeral home. She adeptly facilitated Mom's wishes for natural burial, was always available for us, and always forthcoming with any new information. Not only did she arrange and direct a fittingly, beautifully meaningful service for Mom, she also performed the difficult feat of making us feel comfortable, as though the only task required of us was to look after one another. The only thing we had to worry about was making sure we allowed ourselves to grieve healthily because everything else was taken care of.
