My father used to be the Medical Examiner for Wythe County and always talked about the amazing and kind staff at Grubb funeral home. When Dr. Bob died recently we realized that there were two choices in town, one who put us immediately in touch with someone who was able to make the this process as bearable as possible, while the other funeral home made us feel like "McFuneral" and that they were after a payment. Grubb funeral home was professional, kind, clean, and HONEST the entire way through the process. They were very communicative and reached out to ask questions that I hadn't even thought about for the service, but things that they did not get paid for, just logistics and how they could best serve our (very large) family. Like I said, my dad was the medical examiner and always had great things to say about them, and the staff at Grubb genuinely treated the experience as if their own family member had died and made this horrible transition as easy as it could possibly be. Clean, pleasant space with neutral colors where the decedent was the focus of the service. Room was a surprisingly comfortable temperature when filled with people as well. Restrooms were spacious for mobility devices.

In a very weird family dynamic, David remained caring, professional and very helpful. He worked with me (I am outside of the state Grubb is in) to make the process as simple as possible.
