My family has been using Mathewson-Forani for generations, back when it was owned by Dominick Forani, who was a kind, compassionate man, to now Kevin Mathewson. Anyone who knew Dominick also knew his predecessor would have some rather large shoes to fill. Kevin has lived up to this expectation and has superseded it. He is a very kind, compassionate person who will explain things in a way that will help you understand them. This funeral home is also one of the most reasonably priced in the county. They will not try to up sell you either. They understand your grief and they will not take advantage of that. I can’t thank Kevin and his staff enough for their kindness, dedication, and their knowledge of helping our family through our time of need.

I can’t say enough of how wonderful, caring, thoughtful, professional, and honest Kevin has been throughout the process of my daughter’s service. My daughter tragically passed away while vacationing in Syracuse, our family reside in Miami Florida. After calling most funeral homes in Syracuse we came across Mathewson-Faroni who were by far best priced home in Syracuse. More importantly Kevin was the most honest and direct person I met who not only explaining his part of the process of documentation and what he does as the funeral director, Kevin went above and beyond my expectations.

Working with Mathewson-Forani Funeral home allowed our family to focus on the grieving and not worry over the details. There is so much we didn't know that Kevin just took care of. There was never any pressure, in fact he was the only one of six funeral directors that didn't try to sell us an urn we didn't need. The facility is comfortable and inviting. The people are professional, responsive, and very knowledgeable. And the cost was significantly more reasonable than others in the area. I'd highly recommend.
