Very expensive and the pricing seems unfair. We were sold a funeral package as if it were the price of the coffin. The coffin was actually less than 1200 but all the extras brought the price to $6000 without a plot. You still have to go to Combre and work out burial arrangements bc they only do funerals. Otherwise they appear to be sincere ppl of their word. The foyer was pristine in perfectly calming shades. UPDATE: Under new management, Raymond is no longer with them. Chasity, the funeral director, is definitely a woman of her word. She does not care if you have a policy that covers everything with enough left over to replace her pearl-heeled Sunday school shoes. She WILL NOT allow you to view the body or even dress it until every dime has been released and she has the check in her manicured hands. No down payments/ partial payments despite awaiting insurance payments bungled through no fault of your own. She in completely insensitive to your case bc "[She has] bills that need to be paid". Desensitization is necessary for this line of work no doubt, but you only get one shot at this. It should be done with compassionate ppl who understand that this is the child who's fever you nursed, who's bruises you kissed, and who's life you've invested in. They need to comprehend that a part of yourself is being laid to rest as well. She also failed to inform us that she'd scheduled a viewing of the body. Then, without remorse she said she'd told us this. So the first time we saw my daughter was 20 days after she transitioned as she lay before a church quickly filing with ppl. Needless to say, this was the worst experience imaginable.

I would like to thank Raymond Fondel & Fondel Memorial Chapel for such a wonderful home going service for my brother Jerald Jermaine Ardoin a.k.a Squirrel. The Fondel's went above and beyond to make this a very pleasant experience. The love from this funeral home is very genuine and pure and was nothing about money. In fact my brother had no insurance. Neither did my mother and the Fondel Memorial Chapel Funeral Home made it all possible for my brother to be laid to rest in a very nice and pleasant way. I give ALL the glory to the Lord and the utmost respect to Raymond and his family. He took ALL THE STREES from my grieving family and loved ones. Raymond takes pride in all that he do to plan, organize, prepare and present the funerals of his community. I just can't say thank you enough and I recommend ANYONE TO UTILIZE FONDEL MEMORIAL CHAPEL. THEY MAKE IT TRULY A MEMORIAL EXPERIENCE. WE ALSO HAVE THE ABILITY TO GO ON FACEBOOK AND WATCH THE FUNERAL AND THE MEMORIAL SERVICES OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I wouldn't bury my relatives with these people there all about money money money getting paid and profiting off people's grief they're overpriced check around they have cheaper services.
