Our family has served the Hampton Roads community since approx. 1953. It's been over 60 years of FAMILY serving families. Presently Patricia Fitchett Baker and Brenda Fitchett Anthony, the daughters of Floyd E. Fitchett Sr., and Michael A. Baker Sr., son of Floyd E. Fitchett Sr, are active in the business to continue the Fitchett legacy. There is one surviving elder (Fitchett) sister, Beatrice Harrell, who is co-owner of "The" Fitchett Funeral Home and at 101 yrs. old, she is still very committed to preserving the integrity of the Fitchett name. "The" Fitchett Funeral Home was started in the early 1950's by the late Charlie S. Fitchett, who was later joined by his 2 sons, the late Nathaniel Fitchett and Floyd E. Fitchett Sr. Their legacy lives on. Here at FITCHETT, we aspire to deliver the highest quality and most professional SERVICE available anywhere. We have been privileged to add to our staff as Manager a veteran licensed funeral director who understands how to satisfy the needs of our families' in a very professional, yet compassionate way.
