Pro: The man helping us was nice cons: old out dated building (their facility for visitation). They had another person in casket (open) next to our room during visitation time and we/guest had to walk through the other room (where other person was) to get to restroom. We made a slide show video of pictures with music for the visitation and their equipment wasn’t working to show others. Obituary was printed wrong and when we asked to make a correction - we got no response back and none made (our finalized draft was correct and the miss print was not our fault). Funeral was on windy day and some ribbon had flown off the flowers from casket between the funeral home and church. When asked about it - they did go and look for it and found it laid up along a fence; however, the comment was “oh- glad we found it). It was dirty and tattered and no apologies . Overall- I would not recommend. If I had know this prior - I would not have chosen this place and will not choose in the future for sure.

From my initial conversations with Derfelt Funeral Home to my interactions with Kyle Ward, I was treated with respect and compassion. Kyle spent time with me explaining all options available to my family in a professional manner. He eased a difficult situation with true care.

During a difficult time, Jerry helped our family as we made arrangements for our mother's funeral. He took the time with us as we made decisions and understood our financial situation. We would recommend Derfelt Funeral Home services to others.
