Walked through the planning process well- the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism during the actual funeral service. Kailyn, our funeral director, was late showing up leaving very little time for instruction. Our families did not even sit together because she did not instruct us on how she wanted us to enter the church for the procession. To add insult to injury she decided to return my mothers personal effects to us during the luncheon while guests were trying to offer condolences. I told her it was uncomfortable and suggested we at least move away from the tables and guests to which she replied” it’s okay I am almost done”. My mother and our family deserved better.

Great staff, took care of all the details for my dad's funeral. Very kind and compassionate and helpful.

I can't express enough gratitude for Kevin and the folks at Dare's Funeral Home. My father died suddenly and unexpectedly while visiting Elk River from Washington state. Kevin made the process easy and very professional in getting everything done from cremation to delivery back to our home state and was very timely with the death certificates. I could not give a higher recommendation! Thank you again!
