As an only child, losing your last parent is already too painful already; however, you now have to figure out the funeral arrangements next by yourself, which is also overwhelming. Fortunately, the hospital had "Cremation Society of Orange Coast" on their recommended list of mortuaries. They offer many types of services, from very simple to more elaborate, depending on the needs of the grieving party, and their prices are fair too. They also had many encouraging Google reviews, which helped me pick them too. I went straight to "Cremation Society of Orange Coast" from the hospital, and I had the chance to meet Greta and Lauralee that day. They were calm, caring, and compassionate, which helped put my mind at ease; Greta's sense of humor made me crack a few laughs too. Greta was very knowledgeable in her field, and she was very patient with answering all my questions with clear and simple details to understand. They were very accommodating with my funeral needs, and they helped me create a plan with all the options I needed. Thank you very much ladies!!

I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would ever find myself reviewing a cremation service company. But after suffering the unexpected (and nearly unbearable) loss of my son, I was forced to find a place to take care of his arrangements. In the moment of my son’s passing, I was beside myself with grief and at a loss to know where to go or who to turn to for this kind of service. Fortunately, I was given a pamphlet with several different options for postmortem care. I can’t honestly say why my first call was to the Cremation Society of Orange Coast (perhaps because its name reminded me of where my son attended school), but I’m sure glad it was. Greta was amazing to work with despite the painful circumstances that brought me to her. She said all the right things to both lessen my pain while explaining my options for post life care. After deciding to have my son cremated, I was grateful for how compassionate and respectful they were with his care and treatment. Greta and her staff were all amazing to work with, and I am confident that my son’s spirit appreciated the grace of his handling. Chances are that if you are reading this review, you too are grief stricken and wondering where to turn to for the kind of services you never imagined you would need. Have faith and know that the Cremation Society of Orange Coast will treat you and your loved one with dignity and compassion. I am so grateful I found them in one of my darkest hours of life. Losing your spouse is traumatic enough without having to deal with all of the other necessities. Cremation Society of Orange Coast made it very simple. Everyone I spoke with and had interactions with, were very professional, patient, and understanding. When they came to pick up my husband they were respectful and kind and they even gave us extra time to say our final goodbyes. When it was time to make the final decisions and fill out the paperwork, Amy was both helpful and informative. We were able to bring him home a lot sooner than I expected, and they made sure everything was done correctly.
