I had never planned a funeral on my own before, and Lisa was very responsive to this. Her sincerity brought me a certain kind of peace about the whole situation. The funeral home itself is spacious, clean, and offers plenty of seating areas to gather with family and friends. It has an original style that feels warm and welcoming. Very highly recommended.

When my sister died unexpectedly, I did not have any idea how to go about doing anything. She made it very clear she did not want a funeral, but we had to do something to make sure family and friends knew and everybody could get their moments for goodbye. We called Cotner funeral home and spoke with Casey. She was very patient, friendly and concerned and help us right the perfect obituary, one that would’ve made my sister blush. (But she would have been proud) One of the biggest lesson I’ve learned from my sister’s passing is that I do not want my children to have to plan for my funeral. Casey suggested that we take the time to pre-plan so that all my children have to do is celebrate life. I will rest easy knowing that my children will be OK when that time comes. When my mom passed away unexpectedly, they were so good to work with and the funeral home felt more like a "home", very comforting and personal. The staff is so caring and gentle explaining everything and looks for ways to save you money as this is a time you are not thinking straight. I highly recommend them!
