Never thought I would be writing a 5 star review for a funeral home but the team at Calhoun - Mania helped give my father the best services possible. They were very sensitive to our every request and even assisted us with finding a church for a Catholic mass something that was a very important for us. Deb, Angelo and Camela really made the process as painless as possible. Would recommend to anyone who has lost a loved one and wants professionalism and sensitivity when making arrangements.

We lost our dad unexpectedly to covid in February 2022. For my sisters and I this was our first time planning a funeral so we were at a loss on how to even begin. We contacted Calhoun after seeing reviews plus their close proximity to our mother's house. Our initial call was promptly returned and after meeting with Angelo and Debra we decided not to look further. Their beautiful funeral parlor actually felt like a home where we were treated professionally and given the utmost sympathy, patience and respect. We cannot say enough about the experience we had with Angelo, Debra and their entire team. From beginning to end, everything was handled delicately and efficiently, with style, grace and care. We were placed in a difficult situation of trying to navigate and plan an entire funeral remotely, with no one in the Rutherford area. From the moment that Debra answered our initial phone call, we felt like we were expert hands — someone who truly just wanted to help us in our family's time of need. Debra and Angelo guided us through the entire process, including coordinating everything with a hospice facility, the church and the cemetery. When our family arrived at the funeral home, we immediately were put at ease by the entire staff, as well as the tasteful, warm and comfortable setting. The staff over-communicated every step of the way, and we were all moved by the attention to detail from Angelo himself on the day on the funeral, overseeing everything all the way to the burial site itself. When you're placed in this kind of an emotional situation, you want to just make sure you're in good hands. You will absolutely be in good hands with Calhoun-Mania.
