The experience of ordering my mother's headstone from Cooker Funeral Home in Sanger Texas was marred by extensive communication breakdowns that led to unacceptable delays. I placed and paid for my order in December 2023, expecting a longer wait time due the holiday season but being told it would be completed by mid-end January. However, this was not what happened as there were further delays which caused much frustration.The final installation of the headstone was April First, 2024.

We buried our Grandmother yesterday and Mr. Coker couldn't have been kinder. I'm not one to write many reviews but I felt I had to this time. The service at the cemetery was at 11am and the heat was terrible. Mr. Coker and his staff were so thoughtful and brought cold water bottles for everyone. That poor man stood in the blazing sun and would not come under the canopy out of respect for our family. We finally got him to cool off with some water but we couldn't get him to take off his suit jacket to cool off. Also, they made my grandmother look absolutely beautiful. They truly are artists and helped make this sad experience more bearable. We could not have been happier with their attention and courtesy.

If I could give less than one star I would. I just attended a memorial service for a young relative. I know the family did not have a lot of money to spend, but the space they were afforded was basically just a visiting area with no chairs, no sound system, and the people who were working there were talking loudly while the family was trying to pray. It wasn't a conventional set up for a service, but the family was doing what they could to bury their loved one. The grounds were unkempt (a little mowing and hedge trimming go a long way), the flower beds were just trashy, and it was overall just an unpleasant experience - through no fault of the family, but the funeral home.
