Claiborne Overholt Funeral Home is the most caring family oriented funeral home I have had the pleasure of visiting. Rev. Eddie Overholt is the most compassionate person you could ever meet and in his capacity as the owner and funeral director, he cares for each family member and the deceased as if you are His own family! My mother's service was one of the most dignified and beautiful services anyone could Hope for! She was received from the hospital and cared for gently by the staff and Rev. Overholt, Again as if she was their own. Mother's service was the best I have witnessed, she was beautiful, her clothing was arranged as if she had approved it herself. The pictorial slide show was provided and it showcased Mom's 80+ year life, beautifully! The music selection was appropriate and uplifting. The opportunity to personalize the service was great, from choosing her clothing, jewelry, casket and burial arrangements to her Remembrance Register Book! As an only child, I appreciated how Rev. Overholt literally became a family member during this difficult time, giving me his cell phone number and calling or texting me. The staff there are caring professionals, who tried to assure our wishes were attended to quickly. It was convenient to have flowers delivered and even to arrange to have my mother's hair done, just once more. I felt a tremendous sense of peace here as did my friends and family. The service and visitation times were perfect, as were the accommodations at the business. From start to finish, I was assured Mother had the very best services here that I have seen at any funeral home. They encouraged my family to grieve as well as to Celebrate my Mother's life! I am eternally grateful to Rev. Overholt and his staff!

Mr Overholt and his Family have known my family for a long time. And he has always provided the best of what we want and need. Him and everyone else there are all professional and courteous. They are very sincere and Claiborne county is Blessed to have someone like that handling this type of arrangements. My family will continue to use them for generations to come.
