Chinn Funeral Services was truly a blessing to my family and not just because the cost for services are reasonable. Tyra made the process so easy from the moment she answered the phone, especially considering I'd never had to be involved in the arrangements for a funeral. She was very patient, very very kind, and very flexible. She even had my mom laughing (we lost my brother).Tyra was also very knowledgeable about and has great rapport with cemeteries in the area.

We use or refer Chinn Funeral Services whenever there's an opportunity. The staff are great to work with and the services are top notch. If you're really concerned with the way your loved one looks, I highly recommend you employ their services. Cosmetics and the hair styles always look so natural and are styled according to one's wishes. It may seem odd, but they have a way of caring about how the deceased looks in public - never a "waxy" look.

Terrible to do business with Tyra Baker Thompson. Chinn Baker Funeral Services is a great business but Tyra Baker Thompson is not a trustworthy funeral director. Shawn Baker and Chavonne Baker are the go to people for your funeral needs. My family waited on death certificates from 6 weeks ago and giving us the run around from Tyra Baker Thompson We're stuck in a gridlock as far as removing the decease name from bank accounts, bills, vehicles, insurance, etc. The reason for complaining, the certificates were paid for on the contract. I spoke with Tyra about the situation, after my brother left numerous messages and no reply. She claim to pick the certificates up from the District of Columbia due to the deceased passing away at the Washington Hospital Center. We live in Virginia and this has been a total nightmare for us. She suppose to pick them up today 12/27/19 and no phone call from her about the situation at hand. Do not trust her with your love one because you will regret it.
