Losing my father has been by far, one of the worst things I've ever experienced. The pain you feel from losing someone you love so dearly, makes everything you do after that loss almost impossible. It's hard to make a single decision, let alone plan an entire funeral. I believe we were led to Verheyden, and to funeral director, Joesph, to help guide us through the very difficult task of properly honoring my father and his beautiful life, one last time. Our whole family was extremely satisfied with the outstanding service provided by the staff at Verheyden. The personal sensitivity and attentiveness to every detail was remarkable. All of the staff of the Funeral Home were incredibly thoughtful, kind, and professional. This was a high-profile funeral with services held in four diverse settings in Detroit and also in Monroe with attendees from around the country and the world. All of the arrangements were handled smoothly and professionally. There was not a detail that was overlooked. The whole family was treated with respect and care. We were made to feel very comfortable knowing that we were in the hands of professionals. Brian Joseph and his team went above and beyond, over and over, to provide an extraordinary level of service. Further, we were also very appreciative of Adriana, Joseph, Terrance, Brooke, and all the others behind the scenes who made it all possible. They all turned a difficult time into a celebration of life. I have been responsible for other funeral arrangements and the service here was exceptional and unequaled. In addition, after talking with Brian to express our appreciation, he mentioned that the motto on the Verheyden crest is "The Same Always to All." The staff clearly exhibited their commitment to this through their excellent and attentive service to all of us and to all who attended the services. When I asked him who else was involved, he noted names of others who helped in this process, some that I could not remember, some I was not aware of. I want to mention them here because all contributed to making this so comfortable and comforting for us.
