Do not use this establishment if you care about your loved one. They are CROOKS…We trusted our loving grandmother to the funeral director Abel Rodriguez at Carrillo funeral home. We asked for transfer services from Dallas to New York and it was the worse experience we have ever had. 1.READ your contract before paying. They charged us 2 times and now have to dispute with credit card company. 2.Contract had the wrong casket printed on it, wanted white with silver hardware and they had pink on the contract. Once mentioned to Abel he tried to cover it up and said they always put pink on the contract. After the run around he changed it and put white. 3.We received our loved one in New York to no make up, not even the brushing on her hands were covered, hair wasn’t done, casket was not the casket we purchased and it was heavily damaged and you could easily tell it was used. It was supposed to be an almost $2000 casket we received a maybe $300 casket. It was white with Gold hardware and we wanted white with silver hardware. 4. My grandmother’s eyes weren’t even closed when we received her. The funeral director here in New York was upset to see how another establishment in his line of work could do this to a family who is already going through so much. We even called Carrillo funeral home to speak to Abel after our finds it was his day off and another person called us back but didn’t even offer us an apology. So I’m Leaving this review so that they can’t get away with doing this to other families. Pictures attached (except for the pictures of her with her eyes open because no one wants to see it because it is very disturbing)

We repeatedly asked Nirca Moncada about the video tribute for our loved one , first she was in a meeting with another family and could not do it then she said it would be up before the Deacon arrived and that did not happen. When the deacon finished we asked again and she then stated she could not access the video in the USB . If we would have not asked we would not have been aware, Informed less than an hour left of the viewing.

The service here was great. Abel, Anna, RosaLinda, and the Caribbean employee were all caring compassionate and attentive. Their service was exceptional. Very clean facilities. Affordable packages and explained in detail. They were very straight forward and did not make you feel like they were selling you a car. Nor just trying to get your business. They showed professionalism, but most important; they showed care. I highly recommend this place. Thank you,
