My father was terminally ill and was going to pass relatively soon and it we knew it was time to make arrangements. With the chaos that follows the passing of a loved one I strongly recommend making final arrangements ahead of time because no matter how well you think you are prepared there will always be something that needs to be done and doing this checks another box off the list. My mother had previously used this funeral home for my grandmother and because of the great service and respectful treatment she received we decided to use them again. We met with Frank Carmon about a week before my father's passing and he was extremely respectful, professional and not pushy with his services. We picked the services from their clear list of offerings and were able to plan the memorial we wanted. When the day of my father's burial arrived their lovely facility was in pristine condition and their staff was respectful, professional, courteous and helpful. They have two areas available for a viewing/wake. One a smaller more intimate/traditional setting and another in a adjacent building which has a more of hall type feel for those having a larger wake. Both areas are wonderfully suited to their purpose depending on the desires of the family and we chose the smaller of the two because we had not anticipated a large group of mourners and preferred it. We had a open casket and due to my father's illness he did not look how I had remembered him prior to his passing. Carmon funeral did a wonderful job preparing the body for the viewing and were able to present him in a manner more familiar to what I remembered my father looking like. I was very satisfied with the work they did when I saw him one last time. From there they did all the usual stuff proceeding to the church and finally the cemetery. In summation I would highly recommend using Carmon funeral home. The facility itself is beautiful and new, the staff was extremely respectful and accommodating for a grieving family. The most important thing to me was having that terrible day just go smoothly and Carmon was able to make that happen.

John Carmon and his assistant Sara are truly the most comforting and wonderful people to deal with during a time of loss. John treated us as if we were his own family as did Sara. No matter what we asked for in order to make the celebration of our father’s life a beautiful ceremony John went above and beyond to make this happen. Everything was done for us with precision for the graveside funeral and it made the grieving process so much easier as every detail was handled. Our sincere gratitude….

Absolute should be your first choice for funeral home. When my younger brother unexpectedly passed away earlier this year, the funeral planning fell to my sister and I. I called around to five funeral homes in the area and met in person with two. Its amazing how so many of the area funeral homes are instantly sizing you up to see how much they can up-sell you or wont give you any info unless you come in person to talk. Fast forward to Carmen, I called and left a message and within 30 minutes had a call from Mr. Carmen himself offering his condolences. When I went in to meet with them in Avon, I met with Dan Kochapski who was the most caring and considerate funeral director. He walked me through the process, what was involved, options and costs and told me go home discuss with my parents and reach out to him when we were ready to go. Dan was also very helpful in helping us find the coffin we wanted in our budget and also solving a very important documentation issue which took a few days as well. Overall the preparation and everything done by Dan and the Carmen team was exceptional and professional. They are truly a class act and a company I would not hesitate to hire again.
