My husband Quincy Marshall Sr. passed unexpectedly.Not knowing the process and what to expect as for a funeral & wake.Alesia and LaMeca made sure to set me aside and explain the steps and why they would ask me questions.This funeral home was highly recommended as I was not from this town of Temple.I wanted my husband to be laid to rest next to his sister at New Hope Cemetery.They made it happen. Here are a list of more professional things to say to the family of the deceased besides “Who are you” -Hello! I’m____, I’m assisting with the parking arrangements today. How are you related? -Hi. May I ask your relation? This parking is reserved for the family so I’m just checking. -Hey! My name is___. Are you a relative? Oh you are? I’m sorry for your loss. What relation are you? Just some examples. What the employee decided to do instead was open the car day and RUDELY say “who are you” to which I replied in a similar tone of voice. She had bad timing and I held my peace the best I could. I let her know I was the cousin. She said, again unprofessionally, the you need to back all the way up back there. You don’t know the relationships the family members had with each other. Having protocols is fine, but don’t be so disrespectful. If that wasn’t bad enough, the other employee needed the families attention but was speaking quietly in a crowd of people. Instead of excuse me, she opted for “HELLO” Again. Rude. I don’t typically take my time, to write negative reviews because it’s a waste, but they earned this one.
