We are grateful to Bradley, Smith and Smith Funeral Home and their caring staff for arranging a beautiful and respectable wake and funeral for my father. The details for arranging a funeral are numerous and exhausting to review when you're grieving. If you're able to prepare, its a comfort once you're faced with the task. My father had been fighting cancer and was committed to hospice so my family and I had to be practical and decided to make the difficult preparations a few days earlier. The Bradley staff took their time, carefully described the costs and patiently answered our questions. The funeral home was clean, homey, had plentiful parking, and staffed with a great bunch of folks. Within a day after my father's passing, Bradley had arranged for a website page for my father's funeral so we easily got the word out with directions for the wake and funeral. The Bradley staff greeted our guests, received our guests' flowers, coordinate all the church details and even arranged the "repast" or after funeral meal (for an additional cost) for our closest friends. We did have to share the facility with another wake, but the space was large enough that we barely noticed. I can't think of anytime more grim and devastating in my life than the days immediately before and after my father passed away. Finding a good funeral home like Bradley is key to navigating the transition.
