I just completed making my funeral arrangements in advance with Chuck Christopher. He was very professional, courteous, as well as being very thorough in explaining everything very clearly. He listened to all of my requests and made things run smoothly in the process. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking assistance in finalizing their funeral arrangements. Great service! C. I'll put it to anyone this way; Even IF Bliley's offered my family a free service I wouldn't dare ever take my loved ones to any of this company's locations. If Tom Tatum has ever been associated with a loved one's services, preplanned arrangements, etc PLEASE do yourself a favor and go back over your paperwork! My family's experience in March 2023 with the Hull Street location, Tom Tatum and Daniel Woodfin was unpleasant, unprofessional and very much against a lot of policies! My husband's grandmother began purchasing her funeral package with insurance and completed her purchase upon her husband's death in 1993. Tom was too neglectful in his job to do his research when he ruined the ENTIRE funeral/burial due to his lack of confirmation that she DID IN FACT have a vault that he charged us $1200 for. We sacrificed parts of her wishes such as flowers etc. only to find out one day after the funeral that the vault was in fact already purchased. The family had been pleading and begging Tom and West Hampton to confirm this, but it was not done until I myself fully went over the paperwork again and reached out to the cemetery. Let's not mention the selections already made and the lack of options Tom gave our family, (especially under the assumption that we needed to pay $1200 for a vault) he selected her casket, inside lining and missed very important details she wanted in/on her casket. The day of the funeral, my husband and I advised Tom fabric was sticking out in very large portions on several areas of the casket. He did nothing to fix this issue despite our request that be done. Skipping forward to after finding out the vault was in fact prepurchased in 1993, the ONLY thing this place did for us was send us a check for the refund of the unnecessary vault purchase. Daniel and Tom both tried pushing the blame off on the cemetery and my family and didn't take accountability for anything. There was no other followup except a video chat that Tom and Daniel disconnected from because they were proven wrong in the conversation out of frustration. I have several phone recordings with Tom and email/text with Daniel that we would LOVE for the owners of this place to learn more about. But good luck reaching anybody useful. They "take a message" and you don't hear back... Ever. It's been more than a year and our issue has still not been fully addressed or resolved. How about somebody take accountability this time around and have the owners reach out to the Addison Family in regards to Lee Ann Williams who passed away 3/9/2023.

For such a tough time for any family to have to go through everyone at Bliley's on Hull St. made sure everything was well taken care of. From the initial meeting to the burial, the staff was there to help with questions as well as assisting with decisions that needed to be made. Funerals are never easy but having the right people there to walk along side you helps more than you know. Thank you to all the staff. Your empathy and compassion was greatly noticed.
