Ben Davis Funeral Home is an institution in Columbus, Texas. I live in front of this funeral home. I have witnessed the respectful care for the deceased and their bereaved families for 64 years. I worked for Mrs. Lottie C. Davis when I was a teenager. She owned a small grocery store and washateria beside the funeral home in the 1960s and the 1970s. Ms. Lottie gave me my first job. She taught me to respect the customers and respect myself. She encouraged me to attend college and become a teacher. I was one of many young people who were mentored by Ms. Lottie. Loosing a family member is hard, loosing two family members in a span of a few years is harder. Having utilized a different funeral service in town and not being happy at all with their services, we decided to try Ben Davis Funeral Home this time around. Ones mind is a blur during these times and although we requested certain items late, we received everything we wanted in time for the services to go through without a hitch. The staff was very understanding and attentive and did an AMAZING job on our loved one! The Ortiz family is extremely thankful!!! 👍👍👍
