My father's funeral was recently held at your Cedar Park location. We could not be more disappointed with the service and care at Beck. 1. Beck used the wrong photo despite the photos being clearly designated in their file names. 2. Beck held a public viewing when we requested no viewing due to the circumstances of my father's death 3. The mortician was awful. - She gave my father inflated lips when he had very thin lips. He had a waxy mask-like discolored look. Out of love for my father, I cannot write the rest of the words that came to mind when seeing the results. Perhaps my father's condition was worse than we were told. Having the situation sugar-coated, only to be horrified later because we weren't told fully what to expect is cruel. Be honest. Give it to us straight. Let us, the family, make the final decision. 4. The family was not seated before the attending guests due to lack of direction by Beck. - Upon arrival at the funeral home, we were left to fend for ourselves. I had to check on the music multiple times. No one debriefed the family, and no one was directing guests or the family where to sit. 5. Beck funeral home was supposed to record the funeral. - During the initial meeting, we asked for the funeral to be recorded but not livestreamed. I guess the employee forgot. We discussed with her the amount of storage needed and decided on a terabyte. When I asked about turning in our storage device to get our recording, I found out it wasn't recorded. This was absolutely heartbreaking for our family. There is no recourse and no consequence for Beck for their lack of attention. The Beck representative should have made notes and double checked with us. Recording a funeral should be standard practice. Families are in distress; erring on the side of caution should be a standard practice of care. 5. There are some petty and small things that are upsetting, but not necessary to go through here. Because of the rest, the small things are amplified. It boils down to the representative we were placed with and the mortician. The lack of technical skill and attention to detail are the weak link. Beck should know the state of a family during such a time. We are paying Beck an enormous amount of money to serve us and guide us in every way during a known tragic time; to do the "thinking" for us. Educating their employees about grief should be standard practice of care. They failed in colossal ways, and there is absolutely no consequence for them. This is wrong. The errors and lack of concern from Beck have left my family nauseated and angry. You have added to the distress and discomfort at this most dark and difficult time. I will never recommend Beck for their cold and callous lack of attention and compassion for my grieving and distressed family. Lastly, the space at Beck is very nice. The flag was very nice. The flowers and where they were placed was beautiful. And the biggest bright spot at Beck, was Rick. He drove 5 hours round trip to the cemetery and kept in touch and was kind and compassionate the entire trip. He directed the cemetery guys, the pall bearers, and what do during the presentation of the flag. We didn't have to do a thing while there, other than mourn and celebrate our beloved. Thank you, Rick for being a redeeming person at Beck.

Beck Funeral Home took care of my father’s burial 15 years ago and did a phenomenal job. They were compassionate, caring, helpful and competitively priced. My mom just passed away in June and Jan Beck and her crew didn’t miss a beat. They provided the same level and professionalism with my mom’s final arrangements as they did my dad’s. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else for any of my family members in the future!!

This was the most caring, wonderful funeral home I have encountered. They took such good care of me when my brother passed away a few years ago and then my mother not long after. Please talk to them before you believe the negative reviews. Those individuals have a right to an opinion but they are wrong in their assessment if Beck’s Funeral Home.
