My father recently passed and we worked with Joan Birmingham and August Arms to prepare his funeral during a very difficult and gut-wrenching time - the most difficult experience one can face in life. Joan’s steadfast compassion and commitment to honor my dad in his own very special way provided me with so much comfort and support. Joan is an incredible woman and she helps you process the death of a loved one with deep thought and genuine consideration through the funeral planning process. August has strong attention to detail because she listens and fully absorbs the needs of the departed which helped our family identify a special spot to lay my dad to rest. Both Joan’s and August’s genuine sympathy and compassion ease the process in ways that can’t be explained but that are deeply felt and appreciated. Highly recommend both Joan and August should you need to handle a death of a loved one.

This a difficult review to write because the experience is the farthest thing from fun. But, our experience with Mount Olivet was wonderful. The funeral director and staff were so kind during such an incredibly hard time. Death is expensive, funerals are expensive, burials are expensive, but the kindness extended by the staff made the process so much more tolerable. Mount Olivet is the most beautiful cemetery I have ever visited. The grounds are simply beautiful. My mother’s resting place is peaceful, well maintained, and someplace I will feel comfortable visiting. The funeral itself was perfect. From the music to the priest, the slideshow, the set up in the chapel, the gravesite service and burial, and the reception and catering were all perfect. Sad, but perfect. The difficult experience was made easier and much more manageable because of the kindness and expertise of the staff. I thank them all for helping me and my family in this most difficult time.

Michelle is simply amazing. She was helpful and understanding. Even after the services, she helped with other needs. I can't thank her enough.
