A funeral or memorial service is not something one hopes to plan - but inevitably we all do. We can’t thank Amundson Funeral Home enough for their care and support of our family. Phil, our primary contact, was professional, compassionate, genuine and most reverent in the care of our mother. From the moment we met him at 2:00 a.m., shortly after our mother’s passing, he held a demeanor of respect and especially kindness. His help with arrangements lightened our burden immensely. On the day of our mother’s memorial service, Mitch and Nancy continued the kindness, care, and professionalism already demonstrated by Amundson Funeral Home. We thank them for the service they provide to grieving families and our community. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience at a most difficult, vulnerable, and overly sad time.

I have known the Amundson families for 30 plus years and I've always had a great amount of respect for them as friends and businesses people. Consequently, in the last seven months we have used their services twice. Once for the accidental death of my son and the passing of my 92-year-old father. The compassion, empathy and genuine care provided by the team is priceless. They are professional, intentional, very well organized and genuine. June 2021 was the hardest month for our family. My dad died June 2 and my mom died June 30. My brother and I had never planned a funeral so we didn’t know where to start. Chris Garske met with us at Amundson Funeral Home and he helped us plan everything! He was Phenomenal!!! He has Bible verses, songs, bulletin layouts, obituary samples, print pictures, veteran honors, caskets, urns, flowers, lunchon ideas, singers, readers, video service, thank you’s for all of the service helpers, etc. Chris even helps with headstones! My mom went with a bench headstone. She also had it designed the way she wanted it before she died. Chris found the exact bench already made! All he had to do was get it shipped to GF and engraved! Chris Garske and Amundson Family helps with EVERYTHING! My brother and I didn’t worry about anything! My mom wanted to add a vault at the very end and Chris had the vault and script done the day of the funeral!!! My dad’s service was Beautiful and he had Veteran Honors which was special! His service was done up an beyond what we expected!!! When our mom died, Chris Garske was the first person we called. He was right there and helped again at all times of the day! Our mom had an Amazing Service! Everything went so smoothly and Perfect! Plus 3 months after their funerals, their headstone bench was engraved and installed at the cemetery. The bench my mom picked out and designed!!! We were so Blessed to have Chris Garske and the Amundson Family with our family durning these difficult times. Amundson Funeral Home really does care for families during difficult times and takes special care of their deceased loved ones!
