Planned a service March 2023 that was great. Unfortunately the logistics of the matter have been unbelievable. Individuals running the show are terrible with communication. Some what irresponsible with no empathy. I set everything up originally as the "informant" then after our first meeting all communication stopped and was directed to another individual. Director was supposed to call when the death certificates arrived but did not do so. I eventually had to pay $60 to Trenton city hall for 3 copies due to the fact my younger brother was contacted for whatever reason and refused to give me the 5 copies I paid $55 for. My younger brother and I split the costs of the service 50/50. 4 months after the service we still hadn't received our Urns and out father's "marker" was still not at the cemetery. My younger brother went to the funeral home in person after trying to communicate but getting no where. The director wasn't even aware of the situation as if he could care less. After my brother went in person to get answers about the $685.00 marker not being installed 4 months later considering the $300.00 fee for the installation the director refunded $519.40 to my brother in the form of a check which I was never made aware of. Not until November when I needed copies of the funeral contract, expenses did I become aware of the $519.40 refund for the marker. It's now January 12th 2024 and I'm still trying to get my copies of the death certificate, my half of the refund and copies of the funeral contract. That's $374.70 of my money gone due to irresponsible individuals without any form of communication skills. Not to mention the documents needed for handling my father's affairs have been requested multiple times for 2 1/2 months now. They were being mailed out 2 weeks ago buy never were. I just got off the phone with Rockwood receptionist who says the director will be contacting me shortly. Well see.
