From John (director) to every other staff member we met, everyone was kind, professional and accommodating. A staff member was always available or prompt to call back and act on our questions and requests. Information was passed through the funeral home quickly and efficiently. We felt so welcome there. The building and outdoor area were clean, calm, well maintained and inviting. TV's for personal photos and other tech worked perfectly. They made everything as easy as a funeral can be and my family and I felt very valued and cared for, like human beings.

Service was beautiful and the viewing was great. It was the way I was treated as the disabled daughter of the deceased that really made it bad. I had to go home for a short while and when I returned I was placed at the end of the line of vehicles. In order to get to my vehicle and join the line, I had to go completely around the building to use an accessible entrance. I missed them carrying him out. At graveside, I was forced to park the farthest away and was not given the chance to reach the family before they brought him over. I was barely able to take a seat before they began the small ceremony. Then the gentleman wanted to take my keys and drive my vehicle. Unless he is trained to drive vehicles with hand controls then that is impossible and illegal. I felt disrespected to say the least.

During the most difficult time of our lives, Allen Funeral Home went up and beyond. David was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our many phone calls. They walked us through the entire process. They were kind, gentle, and gave very helpful advice on how to get through the service. When it came time to separate my father's Ashes, I expected to drop off the erns and pick them up later. However, Amanda went up and beyond. She was able to separate them in less than 30 minutes. I explained how I was going to take a small amount for a special purpose. Amanda took it upon herself to complete this task so I didn't have too. I was extremely impressed how proficient and kind she was at a VERY difficult time. Thank you David, Amanda and the rest of the staff at Allen Funeral Home.
