The Akes family and staff were a blessing during this difficult time for our family. All members of their team were respectful, patient, and went over and above for our family. They took on the planning of the burial and service; which included coordinating with the burial site and Rabi. My mother-in-law was Jewish and wanted a traditional Jewish burial. The Akes team worked with the Jewish guidelines to prepare the body exactly as it should be. The funeral home staff managed all the details so that we did not have to worry about anything. I should have written this sooner. We were at a loss when our mother passed. We spoke with Ruth and she couldn’t have been more calming, helpful and sweet. Everyone there made us feel like our family was their family. The took care to help us with everything we needed. Thank you Akes Family.

Stay away from this mortuary. I repeat, STAY AWAY. They started our service 30+ minutes late, making my family wait outside in this unbearable heat since we all didn’t fit in the lobby. No offer of reimbursement, not even an apology. The receptionist was really rude when we asked where the restroom was. Shop elsewhere for your casket and flowers or you’ll be ripped off here. Get everything in writing!! These people can’t be trusted. You need a place you can trust in a time of grief and this is not the place! You will be taken advantage of here. STAY AWAY!
