Three words for Affordable: ineffective, inefficient, and unreliable. Directory of Mortuary (Angela P), rejected health cared directive at first due to missing pages, though essential authorization was complete. I had to consult with our probate atty, and then convince her in several phone calls to do extra research and efforts to follow through. Calls often not answered or returned by her. She was out sick several times. Cremation delayed due to similar difficulties with documents (estate was poorly prepped by the deceased), only resolved by my efforts, not theirs. One staff person (Joanna W) was effective and kept in touch, filling in temporarily for Angela, but this stopped once Angela returned. Seven-plus weeks required to complete the cremation. Documents to complete were very detailed and legalistic, and Angela provided no guidance and support, until after failure. No preventive help offered at all. I would never seek their services again.

The people that work here don't get enough credit for what they do. My mom arrangements were made easy as possible and I am forever grateful to them. Prices are affordable and they make your loved ones look like themselves. If your looking for funeral services this is the place to come too.

I contacted this Affordable and Cremation Mortuary at the Beginning of March 2022. I used them in 2018 when I lost my Mother. I was expecting the same quality service that I had received. Well, that did not happen. I was transferred to Chanel Dale, the Director, which I did not know at the time of my call. I thought I was speaking to someone knowledgeable about making funeral arrangements for newly bereaved family members. I gave her all of my information and requests for two (2) death certificates and to have my loved ones ashes scattered at sea. Sounds easy right? Don't get it twisted. This woman made a joke of all of my requests. Nothing was documented in the file for two (2) death certificates nor were there any arrangements for the ashes to be scattered at sea. Countless calls, more than 10, and nothing moved forward with my final arrangements of scattering the ashes. This company made a joke of my whole planning efforts with countless mistakes and haphazard attention to the details of my request. This significantly added to my time of grief. July 13, I made another call for the 11th time and was told that I needed a permit to scatter the human ashes. I immediately asked how much, paid the fee and would they please proceed with the process. A client should not have to suffer such poor quality care from an agency that is supposed to be there to help them during their time of sadness. As a final insult, when they did get the ashes scattered, they backdated the scattering to October 2022, and placed the certificate in the file without even having the decency to notifying me. I did not find out that the ashes had been scattered until March 2023 when the Burial Commission sent me a copy of the scattering after their extensive investigation. Please note, Mr. Riley, the owner is a liar and has several complaints filed against him with the Burial Commission over Mortuaries, and the Better Business Bureau. He has been fined for more than five (5) counts of mishandling the business affairs by the Commission over Mortuaries. My advice to anyone who reads this, "BUYER BEWARE" and along with being aware, USE A DIFFERENT MORTUARY SERVICE!
