They took great care of my father when he passed. I know some reviews talk about them being cold. I can see how some might see that, but honestly I felt they did a wonderful job. They took our needs in mind when planning everything out. Death is a business and it will happen to us all. Again They took perfect care of my dad. They arranged a beautiful procession up to Fort Leavenworth. Even though dads been gone almost 4 years I still vividly remember that level of care and attention.
They organized a wonderful ceremony for my Dad, and handled everything professionally and courteously, Thank you.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The passing of a loved one is one of the most painful things for a family to go through. Leintz Funeral Home handled every step of this process in a cold and calloused manner -- from the moment my grandfather was picked up (he was tossed onto the gurney like a trash bag into the back of a truck; Ray), to us calling for finger prints (first call resulted in being hung up on my the weekend operator). The overall experience has been appalling. Please look elsewhere when finding a place to handle your deceased loved ones.
So unprofessional. They made what was already a stressful time even worse. The girl handling most of the details had no bedside manner, compassion, or tact. She was asking me questions during the service that should have been discussed days before. Making decisions without being able to consult family or be in a state of mind to make them rationally is just unbelievably cruel. Dealing with grieving families you’d think that empathy and kindness would be a professional priority, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.
I had discussed with Amy about a prepaid cremation and went and talked about it. Called back on Friday the 22nd to get together and finalize the cremation. Amy wasn’t available but was told she would call me back. Waited till Wednesday the 27th and was told I would get a call back. Finally got a call the 28th at which time I let her know I had taken my business elsewhere. Pretty bad service. I didn’t want to give them a star at all. Thanks to Davis Funeral Home for your fast and courteous service
