Very affordable cremation done in a timely manner. Only down fall, which is a huge one, is that my deceased loved one’s property was lost. Spoke with Keith several times about getting the property back, they lost or misplaced it and I have still not received it several months later.
Mom’s death was very hard on my family and I. Keith handled the details, arrangements and services with professionalism, dignity and Grace. I do not know how I would have gotten through this time without him. Thank you, Keith and the staff at Mesquite Funeral Home.
I just wanted to take a moment to tell Keith & Keaton Moore with Mesquite Funeral Home how much we appreciated them and their funeral home services in our time of need. My mother passed quickly last month and I've never had to deal with a funeral before. Not knowing much about it, Keith walked me, my Dad, and my sister thru the process, giving us choices and letting us know what to expect. We had a viewing, funeral service, and then cremation. They handled it all with professionalism. The viewing and funeral service were held at my parents' church, but Keith and Keaton made sure my Mom & her flowers, etc were always there and set up nicely before anyone arrived. Keith had so much patience with myself and my sister. I'm sure we were a handful just because I know we tend to be picky individuals. I had a little melt-down at the viewing, and Keith was very patient, kind, and understanding, making me feel a little less embarrassed. I appreciated that so much. Keith did our Mom's make-up just as we asked. Then he allowed us to bring my niece in to touch up her make-up and hair to make her look just a bit more like the Mom remembered. She looked great. And Keith also did the casket flower spray just the way we asked him to (he does it himself) and it was beautiful! Mesquite Funeral Home is nothing much to look at from the outside, but please be willing to give them a try anyway. Looks are definitely deceiving in this case. They were the most affordable funeral home we could find, and they did everything we asked for our Mom with patience and kindness, and her funeral was beautiful! We got so many compliments after the funeral including people asking who the funeral home was. My Dad has already informed my sister and I that he wants us to use Mesquite Funeral Home for him when he passes some day as well! Lol.
We were very pleased with the service received from Mr. Michael Keith Moore and Mesquite Funeral Home. Mr. Moore is patient, professional, and understanding. His business is small, and not fancy, but the service provided for my brother's homegoing was respectful, beautiful, and dignified. Mr. Moore was available for whatever questions we had, 24/7. It was a very positive experience at one of life's most difficult times.
I just felt that I had to share our experience with Mesquite Funeral Home. When my beautiful, 44 year old daughter, Deborah suddenly died, it left me, her husband Robert, and her daughter Diana (as well as the rest of her family and friends) confused and overwhelmed. Through a referral from a friend, Robert chose Mesquite Funeral Home, and I am so glad he did. Mesquite Funeral Home is located in a small, almost unnoticeable building on the corner of Gross and Windbell Cir; but don’t let its size deceive you. They have been in business for 40 years. Besides offering prices that were reasonable and within our budget, the funeral director is knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. He did his absolute best to make our experience as smooth and painless as possible. He first had us sit around a table to discuss the details and fill out the paper work, then he had us pick out her casket. We chose a really nice one for only $950 and he reduced it to $750 because we were having her viewing and funeral at the church. After that, we left so he could hurry down to Southwest to get Deborah and bring her back to get her ready for her viewing and funeral. The next day, he had us meet him at the cemetery to pick out a grave site. That afternoon he allowed a few of us to come to the funeral home and make sure Deborah was presentable for her viewing. He them allowed her sister, Sonia, to do her hair and makeup so she would look more like our Debbie. The next day he transported her to the church for her viewing, Celebration of her life, and funeral. He then transported her to the grave site and we followed for the dedication of the grave. By the time we were finished, he seemed more like a friend or family member than just a funeral director. I highly recommend Mesquite Funeral Home to anyone who loses a loved one.
