They are the worst place ever to handle you or your families after care arrangements. I just received my brother's ashes last week, as he's been deceased and cremated back in March. They gave them to a woman who's not even family. What's even more absurd is they asked for my license upon picking up his remains and death certificates. But freely gave them to someone who has no legal rights to do so. Its something from a movie, a real life horror show. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Please look elsewhere for your own peace of mind.
This location is disgusting. They also need to clean those floors they look super dirty and cheap. The thing that pisses me off even more is these people are truly the worst. They gave my father's death certificate to someone who's not family.(They gave it to step family who are not blood related. Now I have to go to another place and get it) So that basically gave them the upper hand on everything. Thanks a lot you morons. This has been hard enough on me for months now. I'm truly upset and will be trying to contact an attorney.Probably the worst funeral home I've been to.
My youngest daughter passed away in 2011. It was a pretty high profile case. So the local news was following me and my EX husband, everywhere we went. Including the "Celebration of Life" services held for my daughter. Amber was AMAZING!! She made sure no journalists made it into the room we were in. Also, I had purchased a pendant, to put some of my baby's ashes in. I couldn't afford a chain at that time. When I was called in by her, to come pick everything up, she had surprised me with a 14k white gold chain. She also made sure my daughter looked like the princess she was. I won't say to check this place out ASAP, as death isn't something I'd wish on anyone. But if the time arises, I highly recommend M.E Rodriguez. Thank you for everything!!
I want to be clear, I have used M. E. Rodriguez Funeral Home for ALL my Funeral Home Needs. They have cared for the remains of my Beloved Family to include: our Mother, our Son and our Grandson. Their Expertise, Kindness, Professionalism and Care is the reason I am a returning client. My husband and I are returning again to prepare for our PRE-NEEDS Care. Thank you Adrian Garza and the Staff for guiding us in our most recent requests. I would Not trust anyone else with our care.
In 2009 when my mom died unexpectedly, we called a few funeral homes to find something that our family could afford. ME Rodriguez transported my mother before we decided what funeral home and ultimately price matched another funeral home to retain our business. Although frustrated, ME Rodriguez worked with us to be able to see my mom for the last time and say goodbye so I did appreciate that and decided to look past their mistake. When my 2 mo old nephew passed, I helped my sister build up the courage to return to ME Rodriguez hoping that the funeral home would be professional, which they were, but also show at least an OUNCE of sympathy. What we were met with was an entire conversation based on solely business and not a single, “please accept my condolences.” As a matter of fact, there wasn’t a SINGLE “Im sorry” in all of the time spent talking to the two gentlemen. We get it, its a business and it may sound like a waste of your time when two young sisters express that they are gathering the funds and we’re automatically brushed off like a lost cause. It seemed as if our director was new as he kept looking to his peer for guidance and was completely unimpressed by our situation. Ultimately, the funeral home did not seem to acknowledge the fact that our INFANT son/nephew passed. They offered absolutely no customization of anything nor many options to choose from being the fact that he was a baby. With no sympathy, no options to choose from and no compassion/understanding from the staff, ME Rodriguez was definitely not an option for us at this point. We left feeling worse than when we walked in. We did have high hopes but ultimately were left feeling disappointed. We went with Mission Park on SE Military and had phenomenal service from start to finish.
