Don't put commercials for a funeral home on TV. It's predatory and weird, and it's guaranteed Baker Funeral Home will NOT be my choice the next time my family needs help through difficult times.
Let me say this! I was treated with genuine compassion and care and frankly… love. I am a big city girl (Houston, Texas) living in inner city Houston 50 years. I moved here to be with mom before she got sick with cancer but I was here when she was diagnosed and to care for her for 4 years. As an only child I felt completely alone and this was a difficult time and to have Jeannie treat me as part of her family made all the difference! Thank you Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center
The funeral director did not do follow ups and added to the stress of trying to set up my mothers funeral. The obituary did not come out until the day before the services after the funeral director forgot to send to the papers and post to their website. Remains and pamphlets were not ready until the day before the services after setting up and paying for the funeral arrangements 9 days before the actual service. Poor service all around. It was like they never really cared. I would not use this Funeral Home!
I have been trying to close out my guardianship with a deceased member that had insurance thru Baker Funeral Home since November 2020. After 4 months, the funeral director has continued to not call back to give me the necessary information regarding payment of the insurance that was taken out thru them. Being busy is one thing, but ducking calls is another thing. I would never seek another insurance policy thru this company as they are not professional at all. I encourage others to not deal with them either.
Update: Had to send back DC again for a second time because they got the marital status wrong AGAIN. Still waiting. This place is ridiculous. We waited over a month to get my dad's ashes because they didn't tell us they would hold him hostage until we paid. We also didn't get the death certificates until almost 2 months after he died. Then they put the wrong marital status on there so we had to send them back, now waiting AGAIN for the death certificates. Been 13 days. We will see how long this takes. I am so upset, this is a hard time as it is and for them to do this is so wrong. They also don't EVER answer the phone OR call back.
